Yorkhill Children’s charity has launched an appeal for 400 people to volunteer to work with children undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The charity, which works in the city’s Yorkhill Children’s Hospital,  is creating 17 new volunteer roles which will include reading to young patients, offering support to families, play services, the talk service and assistance at fundraising events.

While the existing children’s hospital is in the city’s west end, it will move in 2015 to the Southern General in Glasgow’s south side.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the charity, apply here, call 0141 201 6917 or email volunteer@yorkhill.org
