Working Memory – Impact on Learning (2 sessions)

NB: Participants must be able to attend BOTH sessions;

Session 1 – 17 Jan 2019 (1-3.30)

Session 2 – 24  Jan 2019(1-3.30)

 A popular follow-on to the Introduction to Dyslexia Course, but really the title doesn’t do it justice!

 The course will look briefly at what working memory is but crucially it will get attendees to consider what demands they place on their service users in terms of memory and how they can adapt their practice.

Feedback from front-line staff suggests they have found subjects covered in this course to be very pertinent to their everyday work.

It covers:

 Developing understanding of working memory and the impact on learners / service users

  • Considering the impact that tasks have on an individual’s memory
  • Discussing characteristics of individuals with memory difficulties
  • Identifying and sharing good practice

*NB: Registering for this covers both sessions.*

Please bring your Eventbrite ticket with you on the day(s), either printed of on a mobile device
