Understanding Dependence and Addiction

This session aims to increase awareness of dependence and addiction, with focus on alcohol, drugs and gambling. Attendees will learn about the signs and symptoms of substance misuse and gambling dependence as well as the psychology behind them and what can be done to address the issue.
– Understand what dependence is and who is most at risk
– Learn to identify the signs and symptoms of alcohol, drugs and gambling dependence
– Understand the psychology behind dependence and addictions
– Learn how to support someone struggling with or developing a dependence or addiction
Session will be delivered by Zofia Zukowska, Wellbeing Service Advisor. Zofia is supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of staff and volunteers of third sector organisations throughout Glasgow through delivering training sessions and identifying wellbeing needs.
Non-GCVS Members – £30 per delegate

The day before the event we will send you a Zoom invitation. Note that you will be required to register with Zoom before you can join. This is a free and simple process but does take a few minutes. Please do this at your convenience before the day of the event.
