Introduction to Health & Safety in the workplace

An introduction to the common health and safety risks that can be found in a workplace environment.

Course Overview

The course will look at the basics of H&S law and how these apply to the workplace and workplace activities. It will look at duties and duty holder responsibilities, as well as H&S management systems and how these can be used to improve your H&S compliance.

The course will give an overview of the risk assessing process and look at common hazards within the workplace which need controlled.

We will look at special groups who need consideration when undertaking an assessment of risks.

We will also look at how different monitoring methods can be employed to measure performance and how to improve upon it.

Course Objectives

• Gain an understanding of legislation and what it covers

• Learn about risk assessing – the basics

• Active and Reactive monitoring

• Learn common hazards and ways to put in place practical control measures

Who Should Attend?

Anyone with Health & Safety and/or line management responsibilities.

Once signed up to this event we will send you a Zoom invitation. Note that you will be required to register with Zoom before you can join. This is a free and simple process but does take a few minutes. Please do this at your convenience before the day of the event.
