How to create and use an environmental policy

August 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Tailoring an environmental policy for your organisation and your activities

Please join us for an online event where we will present ideas on how to create or update your organisation’s environmental policy and explore various tools and examples.

Your tailored environmental policy can become an important pillar to engage your group, plan action and set goals when it comes to climate friendly practice. Saving energy and reducing carbon emissions are also connected to reducing energy expenses – beneficial for both people and planet.

In this session we will discuss the following:

  • Energy use for community facilities or service delivery
  • Travel and transport
  • Food and water
  • Consumption and waste

Please note this is an online event. You will be required to register with Zoom before you can join. This is a free and simple process but does take a few minutes. Please do this at your convenience before the day of the event.

Our GCVS Sector Development free programme is targeted at small voluntary or community organisations based or delivering in Glasgow who would not otherwise have access to this expertise. We may support requests from other groups where space is available and at the discretion of the facilitator. You can check the eligibility criteria here
