Funding Advice Service

For many years, GCVS has offered free funding and fundraising advice for community groups, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises in Glasgow. From video guides and group training to individual support sessions, we have a toolkit to get you started on your funding journey. However, we now find that many organisations require more significant, long-term support during these tough financial times. Our Scotland-wide Funding Advice Service is here to help you promote financial sustainability.

How does it work?

We are delighted to offer affordable, bespoke services and coaching that will help build skills and resilience for a sustainable future. Our approach is to help you widen your fundraising options. By listening to your needs and working closely with you, we can provide practical advice and resources to help guide the development of your income strategy and implementation.

We have the experience; we’ve been there ourselves, which is why we developed our Funding Advice Service. Its our aim to empower you to take control and be the driver of your own success.

Our Funding Advice Officer, June Burgess, has many years of experience as a skilled fundraiser. Since joining GCVS in 2021, June has supported hundreds of groups in Glasgow with their fundraising plans and is looking forward to working with more organisations nationwide.

June is able to provide manageable practical support and tried and tested ideas. We can help you formulate a strategy that enhances your resilience to financial challenges and empowers you to look towards a more sustainable future.
