Third Sector Interface
GCVS is a key partner in Glasgow’s Third Sector Interface, along with Volunteer Glasgow (VG) and Glasgow Social Enterprise Network (GSEN). Together, these Glasgow-based partners provide comprehensive support to the third sector in the city – focusing on staffed and unstaffed voluntary and community organisations, volunteers and community enterprises – to help them to function, grow and thrive.
The Interface partners created and launched Glasgow’s Third Sector Interface Network (previously known as Third Sector Forum) in 2011, which has a primary role to connect the third sector to community planning in Glasgow, so that the sector can inform and influence CPP decision-making.
About Third Sector Interfaces
Third Sector Interfaces were created across all local authority areas in Scotland in 2011, to provide a consistent arrangement for Third Sector support in each area and representation on community planning partnerships.
Information on the support GCVS provides to voluntary and community organisations is provided throughout this website and specifically in the Running Your Organisation and GCVS Services sections.
The Scottish Government has a Third Sector Unit which supports the development of the Third Sector in Scotland. View the Third Sector Unit’s web pages on the Scottish Government website.
