Glasgow charity Impact Arts has launched a new art programme for children living with a family member addicted to drugs or alcohol.  The charity will provide therapeutic activities to address the impact that living with someone with a drug or alcohol problem can have on children’s lives.  Qualified practitioners will deliver the therapy as part of The Young Gallery: Art Therapy Programme which will offer activities to up to 1000 children in the city’s east end over 3 years.

Around 35% of children living in the area are affected by these issues in this area of the city where life expectancy is among the lowest in the country.
