Join the Third Sector Forum for a Community Empowerment Event on Tuesday 14 March 2017, where we’ll be answering questions like:
- “Does this new Act mean we can make the council sell us our building?”
- “So can we insist on being part of the decisions about care services?”
- “What is this Local Outcome Improvement Planning & where does it leave Glasgow’s Single Outcome Agreement?”
Glasgow’s Third Sector has many questions about the Community Empowerment Act, what it means for us and how we can use it. The Third Sector Forum – part of the Glasgow’s Third Sector Interface – has organised this short information event to answer some of these initial questions, and identify our knowledge gaps – what else does the sector know in order to make best use of this legislation.
The event will be of particular interest to Senior Managers, Policy Officers and Development staff looking to create new projects & services and anyone with a general interest in this agenda. We’re delighted to have secured input from Drew MacEoghainn of Development Trust Association Glasgow, Andrew Paterson from the Scottish Community Development Centre and Shaw Anderson of Glasgow City Council.
The event will take place on Tuesday 14 March 2017 from 10am to 12noon at The Albany Centre @ Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector. Book your FREE place here: Community Empowerment Event.
