We are currently looking to recruit for 2 permanent SVQ Assessors.  One position is full time 35 hours and the one Part time (21 hours).

SVQ Assessor – Two vacancies

Hours: one post 35 hours and one post 21 hours.  Flexible working hours can be considered
Salary: Grade 6 Points 31 – 34 (£26,467 – £28,828)
Term: Permanent
Location: Home based with travel required
Location: GCVS Offices/ Home based

The SVQ Assessors will be responsible for supporting and delivering an assessment and IV (internal verification) caseload against Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) assessment standards, as well as develop training for GCVS.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with your candidates over a period of time, visiting them regularly within their workplace to assess their competence using a variety of assessment methods to assess their progress against current SQA standards. It is expected that some travel will be required.

We are looking for candidates who hold either A1/ D32/ D33/ L&D9di, have experience of assessment in compliance with SQA standards, and are qualified / experienced in any of the following frameworks:

  • Social Services & Health Care
  • Advice and Guidance
  • Learning and Development
  • Management
  • Community Development
