We are looking for a Development Officer to join the Poverty Alliance. The role will be part of the team delivering our new ‘Rights in Action’ project. This program, funded by Scottish Government, combines awareness raising activities, action learning and participatory research on Economic, Social and Cultural rights with civil society organisations and people with experience of poverty.
The Development Officer will work with community organisations to support training and capacity building around economic, social and cultural rights. This could include developing training materials, workshops, and other training materials on human rights and poverty. You will work alongside with researchers in the project to facilitation and support Action Learning Sets delivered as part of the project.
The post will require someone who has experience of engaging with and supporting networks of organisations and people. You’ll have a strong understanding of human rights and ability to communicate this in an accessible way related to lived experience as well as being skilled in facilitation and group work.
