Main Duties
CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE
- To live out the Christian faith and reflect Christian love and care in dealings with all staff and stakeholders.
- To ensure that internal meetings commence with Christian worship.
- To participate in Christian worship as required.
- To uphold and communicate the Christian ethos of CrossReach.
- To participate in daily devotions for staff.
- To respond sensitively to the spiritual needs of visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To develop & grow positive relationships with children and families and, in collaboration with others, to identify areas of unmet need.
- To link with social work departments and other relevant agencies is supporting families affected by disadvantage in its widest sense.
- To support children and families to understand and develop strategies to manage issues affecting the home & family environment & relationships.
- To initiate contact with young children and families and offer support, advice & advocacy as appropriate.
- To work with volunteers in providing support and guidance to children and their families using the Daisy Chain and to assist in induction, training and organising a rota for volunteers.
- To be a signpost for young children and their families directing to other agencies as appropriate to need.
- To network with outside agencies to secure appropriate points of referral for support on the relevant range of issues arising from interaction with children & families.
- To assist in the operation of the Centre ensuring the Centre is open at the specified times and being responsible for staff/volunteer deployment.
- To assist in ensuring the security of the Centre and ensuring that Fire Regulations and Health and Safety Regulations are observed.
