This ten-week course has been designed to develop the skills you will need for studying for your SVQ. The course is relevant for candidates participating in any Level 2 or 3 SVQ or for those thinking of returning to study an SVQ.
The course will cover a range of topics including:
• Study techniques
• Work-based formal writing
• Punctuation
• Spelling strategies
• Grammar and sentence structure
• Academic writing for accreditation
• Speaking and listening skills
• Reading for comprehension
• Other issues raised by group members
When? Every Wed, 10-12noon, from 26th January 2022 for ten weeks.
Where? The course will take place using online learning including Zoom sessions. You will therefore need access to a computer, laptop or tablet – and WiFi.
This course is FREE to attend for anyone living or working in Glasgow, thanks to funding from Glasgow City Council.
