Mellow Parenting is looking for an efficient Training and Office Administrator: starting Salary circa £20,000

A vibrant Scottish charity promoting parent-child relationships from generation to generation is seeking an experienced Training & Office Administrator.

The Role

This position offers a variety of responsibilities, including managing the training administration for the whole organisation, general office administration including data entry, updating, and maintaining the intranet, managing sensitive information, minutes taking, practitioner and trainer support, and hosting events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Include managing the administration for Mellow Parenting
  • Managing and coordinating all training programmes, including liaising with commissioners, managers, and practitioners to arrange all the practical and contractual aspects of Mellow Training
  • Ensuring Mellow Trainers have all the required recourses and information prior to the training
  • Working with the Mellow Trainers and ensuring the Evaluation Team monitors and evaluate the impact of the training
  • Certify and support new and existing practitioners, keep internal intranet and website up to date, co-ordinate and attend Trainers Days and Practitioners Days, taking notes and following up on actions points
  • Handle enquires, prepare training materials, attend and support team meetings and generally support the Mellow Team in coordination and administrative capacity.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of two years experience in training and office administration
  • Ability to multitask, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and attention to detail
  • Innovative customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Have a proactive approach to work
  • Be able to work well as part of a team and to deadlines, as well as work independently and be directed/directing when appropriate
  • Be able to liaise with various professionals (multidisciplinary and across organizations) as well as parents
  • Be proficient in computer packages such as MS Office and web browsers and be able to update our WordPress website

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to organise a work plan efficiently and support other linked staff
  • Knowledge of setting up training contracts
  • Knowledge and a great sense of humour
