The Glasgow Third Sector Interface Network (GTSIN) has written to Councillors on the City Administration Committee of Glasgow City Council this morning to explain why getting the second phase of the Glasgow Communities Fund (GCF) right is so important to the sector and the people we support.
The City Administration Committee is the decision-making committee for the fund. It is anticipated that they will discuss proposals for the GCF during August.
The GTSIN is a partnership of various third sector infrastructure organisations and networks in the city. We have written with the priorities that we have been hearing from our collective members across the city. The letter asks Councillors to consider:
- The timelines for the fund
- Ensuring accessibility to the fund
- Expertise in the assessment of applications
- Supporting ‘Fair Work’ funded organisations
- Increasing the overall investment
