The role of third sector organisations, big and small, is integral to tackling child poverty across Glasgow. Which is why GCVS and CPAG in Scotland have been hosting a series of events focused on understanding the third sector perspective on the system of support available for families.

To date we have hosted three events. The report from the third event, and links to the two previous events are attached

Overview of GCVS Child Poverty event 21st Feb 2021

Clear themes around collaboration and partnership working have been evident throughout our conversations – a space which allows third sector representatives to come along on a regular basis to share learning and problem solve issues related to child poverty was suggested.

We now are proposing to set up a Third Sector Child Poverty Network. This would be sub group of the Third Sector Citywide Forum and would report into the GCHSCP Challenge Poverty Partnership group, which looks at child poverty issues strategically across the city.

The first meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th April 2021

If you are interested in joining the network and would like an invite, please email us at everyoneschildren@gcvs.org.uk
