Glasgow City Council will shortly be commissioning three contracts on behalf of the Local Employability Partnership.  They anticipate that successful bids are likely to come from collaborations of organisations, with one lead bidder. This means a single organisation will be contracted to respond to the tender on behalf of a partnership of organisations.

More about these contracts, and relevant information about them, are outlined in this presentation ‘Glasgow’s Approach to Employability. You can also find answers to questions that were asked at an information event here ‘Information Session Q+A‘.

As part of our role in supporting the third sector, our Employability Network wishes to assist those seeking partners.

GCVS are hosting a short online event at 11.30am on Thursday 29th September, 2022. This event is an opportunity for organisations to identify potential partners in a bid for any of the three contracts:

  • Unemployed Disabled Parents
  • Training for Work
  • Paid Work Placements

GCVS will ourselves be considering a bid for the third contract, Paid Work Placements.  This does not prevent other organisations who are considering a bid for that work from participating fully in this event.

Organisations interested in being part of GCVS’ bid should complete the following expression of interest form.  As well as organisations that would want to host placements, we are also interested in hearing from organisations that can provide support or training to employees, as well as support the removal of barriers to employment.

Please complete this short form >

Dates will soon be confirmed around the procurement process which will take place via Public Contracts Scotland Portals. We will share important updates via the employability network and GCVS bulletin as they arise.
