GCVS launches online guide

GCVS has launched a guide to help organisations get themselves online.

The guide was written by the GCVS marketing department as a result of their long journey to redesigning the GCVS website.

Marketing and Communications Officer, Leanne Clelland commented: "Getting your website sorted out can feel like a daunting task. But like most things, the key is to get a few good directions to guide you. The GCVS online guide should go some way to making the whole process more manageable."

Now is the ideal time for voluntary organisations to focus on their web presence as the internet returns to its roots by becoming more community-focused. Community-driven social sites such as Youtube, Facebook and blogs have created tremendous opportunities for charities to interact with their members and stakeholders at minimum cost.

The guide, called "How to get your organisation online" is available to download from the GCVS Learning Centre .
