Board Member Training
Is your Board missing something?
You can be a Board member.
Healthy Organisations is currently recruiting Board members for several highly effective and innovative voluntary organisations across Glasgow. All the organisations have a focus upon community health.
The scheme has been designed to provide volunteers with training, mentoring and an "on the board" placement.
At the end of the process it is hoped that the new board members will develop their management skills, experience the sense of achievement that comes from watching an organisation grow and make a difference in your local community
The only pre-requisite for this training is enthusiasm.
Healthy Organisations has been developed and is managed by Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector, under contract from Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Health Board.
GCVS works to build the capacity and performance of 46 voluntary sector organisations, consisting of community health projects, healthy living centres, stress centres and a number of other projects with a thematic focus e.g. ual health, alcohol and/or addictions.
