Opening Spaces – A Conversation

July 31 @ 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm

Ideas and advice for third sector organisations in Glasgow when re -opening their venues post lockdown

As community venues across Glasgow prepare to open their doors post lockdown, we are bringing together a panel of speakers who have kindly agreed to share their own experiences in this ‘armchair chat’.

Every venue is different with its own unique challenges and opportunities, so the purpose of this session is to help you to:

– understand the range of issues involved

– be aware of some of the risks and what you can do

– speak to peers about their approach

Guest speakers will include:

Alex Byers – Glasgow Life

Melanie Farrow – Maryhill Burgh Halls

The session will be a mix of presentation ‘armchair chat’ and breakout rooms, and we will have time for some questions.

This session is ideal for people in the third sector in Glasgow who either own, rent or use space in a community centre or other venue.

This opportunity has been developed, planned and will be delivered in partnership with the city-wide Glasgow Capacity Building Group including Glasgow City Council, Volunteer Glasgow, CEIS, GCVS, Jobs & Business Glasgow and Glasgow Life.

We use Zoom to host our sessions so you will in time receive emails with joining details. We know that colleagues like to book places for each other, but please ensure that we have a unique email address for every attendee.

Please contact Karen – CLD@gcvs.org.uk if you have any further queries.
