GIRFEC – Briefing Update
February 25 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland update on GIRFEC in partnership with Everyone’s Children project – Delivering the named person and planning for children aspects of GIRFEC on a policy basis
This workshop will explain the Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) approach. There will be discussion on the implications of the recent announcement by the Scottish Government that, while the GIRFEC policy remains central, they no longer intend to introduce the Named Person and Child’s Plan by law. The workshop will include a short “Training the Trainers” session aimed at helping third sector colleagues explain the GIRFEC approach to the people they support. The ALLIANCE GIRFEC resources are being updated to reflect the new policy position. These revised resources will be introduced at the workshop, where there will be opportunities to use the resources hands on.
