GDPR: Getting it Right in Glasgow

It’s been over a year since the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Data Protection Act 2018 were enforced. Many organisations are still unsure as to how the law affects them, where and how to get started….

What do we need to do? When by? Who can help us? What if we get it wrong?

If any of the above questions are on your mind, then this one day course will be a great base to help you develop a greater understanding of the detail and impact of GDPR.

Some of the topics covered will be:

  • GDPR and DPA background and context
  • The Basic Principles
  • Consent – getting it right
  • Data subject requests – what you must do
  • Data breaches – what you must do
  • Personal Data Audit – where it all begins
  • Privacy Ntoices – what to include
  • Accountability – demonstrating compliance

This course is for anyone handling personal data within their organisation. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the principles of GDPR and Data Protection, providing sufficient knowledge to better navigate the path towards compliance and put an ‘Action Plan’ in place.
