GCVS Board member Raza Sadiq  is the only candidate from across Scotland selected as a finalist, in the Unsung Hero category of the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards.alc graphic

As well as his Board work for GCVS, Raza works as a Work Coach with Skills Development Scotland and has been volunteering for two decades. He is the founding member of Active Life Club, a multi-sports grassroots project in Glasgow which empowers young people, uses sports as a medium to flourish, become young leaders and promote integration and active citizenship.

 

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who is the MSP for the Glasgow Southside constituency said:

The Active Life Club does great work in my constituency, offering a range of exciting and engaging sports and activities for young people.  I’m delighted to see the nomination for the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards and wish them all the best.
