GCVS is delighted to announce that 20 organisations operating in the Glasgow City area will benefit from grants totalling £700,000. The funding will enable projects to deliver services to older people and their carers in their own homes and communities.
The Third Sector Transformation Fund is part of the Glasgow Change Fund, Reshaping Care for Older People. VAF manages this Fund on behalf of the Glasgow Third Sector Interface.
The funded organisations will deliver a range of activities across the city to keep older citizens well in their communities for longer. At the heart of all the funded projects is the desire to listen to and reflect the views of older people and their carers, demonstrating how third sector organisations can deliver care innovatively at home or in a homely setting. A list of the organisations receiving a grant can be seen below and further details including project summaries will shortly be available to view on the VAF website.
