We are delighted to have been awarded funding from Outreach Solutions to deliver a city-wide project that aims to raise awareness of fraud and fraud prevention among over 55s and the people who support them.

Over the next 6 months we’ll be working with a range of partners including Volunteer Glasgow to carry out a range of activity designed to help people recognise potential fraud, develop strategies to protect themselves and understand what help and support is available. We’ll be delivering short presentations to groups and staff, attending conferences and events and delivering one to one interventions through support sessions. Look out for our ‘Take Five – Stop Fraud’ leaflets and banners that will be popping up, very soon, in a community near you.

The work is funded by Experian UK as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, Experian hope that by raising awareness and encouraging people to report to the National Fraud Helpline, Action Fraud, the frequency, severity and impacts of fraud will decline.

If you work with older people and would like us to come and chat to your staff, volunteers or the people you work with please email comms.team@gcvs.org.uk or call Pooja on 0141 332 2444 to set up a meeting.
