Glasgow Works - Equal Access
Glasgow Works is the strategy for tackling worklessness in Glasgow and it is a broad strategy that encompasses the MCMC agenda.
Glasgow Works has a two year initial pilot phase which will end during April 2009. The aim during this period will be to implement a co-ordinated and aligned multi-agency, public / private sector approach that focuses on employment, skills development and effective employer engagement.
This will be done by providing a ‘whole needs' approach to people's aspirations as well as to the issues and barriers experienced by workless and low skilled individuals and their families
Glasgow Social Economy Partnership (GSEP)
The Glasgow Social Economy Partnership (GSEP)

Glasgow's Strategic
Volunteering Framework
Glasgow has a volunteering
strategy which has been adopted by the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership.
The Strategic Framework aims to enhance the positive contribution of volunteering within the city by assisting volunteer involving organisations, and other stakeholders that support volunteering, to adopt an effective, efficient and consistent approach across the city. The framework will enable the voluntary, public and private sectors to unite as partners to promote and develop volunteering in Glasgow. It aims to enhance the quality of the experience for existing volunteers, to ensure volunteering is accessible to all, and to encourage new people to participate and share in the benefits of volunteering.
