Scottish Government has published the interim
Games Legacy Plan following a comprehensive consultation process.

Common Wealth? explores the aspirations and
fears of local people from Glasgow's Inner East End about the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Many of the local communities
in the East End of Glasgow fall within the poorest 5-15%, according to
the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD).
The DVD was produced in partnership with Faith in
Community Scotland, Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) and
The Village Storytelling Centre in Glasgow.
Big Lottery Fund wants to encourage people to start thinking about the legacy of the 2014 Games.
Between November 08 -09, grants ofbetween £300 and £1,000 will be available to
groups who are looking to encourage participation, volunteering and community
interaction through their sports projects.
Voluntary and community sector
organisations, community councils and schools can apply to the programme.
They
have created a webpage
which contains all the information you need to know before applying as well as
case studies and details of why BIG is committed to supporting the Commonwealth
Games 2014 legacy.
BIG
would also like people and communities to make their own short films to be
posted online, telling others what the legacy will mean to them.
