GCVS Networks

GCVS supports and co-ordinates networks of voluntary and community sector organisations that share common interests.

Community Planning Working Group
This working group emerged from the ‘Planning the City' event in August 2004. This working group hopes to develop into a city-wide monitoring group for voluntary sector representatives in each of the 10 areas.

Equal Access Network
In Summer 2004, an Equal Access Strategy Voluntary Sector Network was established by GCVS staff, for GCVS members who are service providers funded by Section 10.

Health and Social Care Network
The Health and Social Care Network has emerged from the development of the health and care partnership structures and the need to ensure voluntary sector representation is supported.

Literacies Network
The Literacies Network grew out of the development of the adult literacies partnership structures and the need to ensure voluntary sector representation is supported.

Youth Network
The Youth Network has was the result of the need to support capacity building for youth work voluntary organisations and development of plans for a strategic youth partnership.

Equality Networks
GCVS provides support for Glasgow’s four Voluntary Sector Equality Networks: Glasgow Disability Alliance, Glasgow Women’s Voluntary Sector Network, Glasgow Black and Minority Ethnic Voluntary Sector Network, and The West of Scotland LGBT Forum. Please click here for more information.
