Information afternoon for asylum seekers and refugees
Are you interested in finding out about volunteering in Glasgow?
Attend our volunteering information session to find out about volunteering opportunities. This information session is open to all asylum seekers and refugees, regardless of whether you’ve recently arrived in the UK or have been here for years, have an on-going asylum application, are awaiting the outcome of a fresh claim or have Refugee Status, Discretionary or Indefinite Leave to Remain.
Volunteering is rewarding and allows you to use existing abilities and knowledge or acquire completely new skills. Volunteering also means you can be part of a working environment, even if you do not have permission to work at the moment.
We will present to you the services of Volunteer Glasgow, and explain how you can use their website to search for opportunities. There will also be time to talk to you all individually to explore your volunteering interests.
Attendance is by registration only. If you would like to attend, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0141 248 9799.
Location: Scottish Refugee Council, 5 Cadogan Square, Glasgow, G2 7PH
Date: 29th January; Thursday
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm – presentations start at 2 o’clock
Hope to see you there!
