Scottish Recovery Network (SRN)
SRN in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland have announced a free information session for people interested in obtaining a recognised qualification in Mental Health Peer Support.
In February 2017 the University of the West of Scotland will start to deliver the Personal Development Award (PDA) in Mental Health and Peer Support at their Hamilton Campus. This information session will provide the opportunity to meet the people involved in developing the course and learn more about:
- Background to the course
- Outline of the course
- What’s in it for me as an employer?
- What’s in it for me as a peer worker/volunteer?
The session is aimed at employers and peer workers currently working (paid and voluntary) in the mental health sector. This includes people who use their lived experience of mental health problems in addiction services.
The information session takes place on Tuesday the 1st November 2016. To register your place email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following: name, contact details, role and organisation. SRN will reply with further details including venue.
