The Village Storytelling Centre
Our Adult Training Courses focus on the art of storytelling and how it can be applied in everyday life; from learning how to engage and support the people you work with, to developing your own confidence and communication skills. The courses are ideal for community arts leaders, social care practitioners, teachers, art gallery curators and anyone looking to better engage their audience.
So whether you’re a teacher trying to liven up your lessons, a museum worker who wants to breathe a little magic into tours or a practitioner who wants to help the people you support to tell their own stories – we have a training course to suit you.
‘Moving Pictures: Telling Story Through Images’
Date: Tuesday 27th October
Time: 1.30pm – 4.30pm
Location: GMAC Film, Fifth floor, 103 Trongate, Glasgow G1 5HD
A key skill of the storyteller is to tell their tale naturally without learning a ‘script’. This course teaches this skill, so you can tell any story at any time without the fear of forgetting. If you worry about freezing up, if you rely too heavily on reading out loud or are looking to take story from the page to the imagination this is for you.
Perfect for: Nursery and primary school teachers; library staff; storytellers and anybody working with stories
We also offer bespoke courses and can provide training at your organisation. Special rates are available for third sector and freelance workers.
