The Scottish Government have boosted voluntary care organisations in Scotland after they gave 1 million to assist with staff training and development.
The sum which comes from the Voluntary Sector Development Fund, will be split between 77 voluntary organisations. The Scottish Government website provides a full list of the breakdown of the grants.
It is believed that the main beneficiaries of the grant will be children’s charities, mental health organisations and care groups.
The main purpose of the fund is to help voluntary organisations meet the registration requirements set by the Scottish Social Services Council and thus can be used to support new training related to those requirements.
