Decisions Delayed on the Council's Integrated Grants Fund

Glasgow City Council has announced that funding decisions are to be delayed for the Integrated Grants Fund.  Voluntary organisations had been anticipating notification of funding awards by mid December but will not know until the New Year the implications for their budgets, raising concerns for many about the viability of project activity and the ability to plan ahead for the new financial year.

Glasgow City Council has issued the following information:-

To: All organisations receiving grant funding from Glasgow City Council’s Integrated Grants Fund in 2011/2012

We emailed you on 6 October and 8 November providing an update on progress with the Council’s assessment process for grant funding in 2011/2012.  You will be aware from the previous correspondence that we were aiming for consideration of funding recommendations by the Council’s Executive Committee in December 2010.

The timescale for consideration of funding recommendations has been revised and we are now aiming for consideration of the funding recommendations by the Executive Committee early in the New Year.  This revised timescale will enable the Council to fully consider its overall budget options in advance of individual funding decisions being made.

The Council will provide as early an indication as possible of the 2011/2012 funding recommendations.   A further update on the process will be provided by email in January 2011.
