Handling Difficult Situations

This is a general course intended for people who work with others to address issues that commonly arise in teams, with managers and colleagues.   The course provides an opportunity for personal reflection and bespoke action planning. 

To be sure that this course will meet your needs we will send you a pre-course questionnaire to be completed before your place on the course is confirmed.

Aim:
To help delegates gain perspective, skills and confidence in handling difficult situations involving people at work.

At the end of the course we would expect delegates to have

  • Had an opportunity to look at themselves and their role in difficult situations
  • Increased ability to analyse situations
  • Increased capacity and confidence to handle difficult situations
  • Increased ability to appreciate differences, challenges and the benefits of conflict of ideas

Please note this course is not suitable for people working in social care settings who want to develop specialist skills for handling challenging client behaviours.  If you require training on this specifically, please contact GCVS and ask to speak to a member of the Training Team.
