Six organisations have successfully applied to the Council’s Land and Environmental Services (LES) for free Road Closure to “Play on the Longest Day”. LES will put up barriers to close the roads below to through traffic to allow children, parents/carers and neighbours to ride bikes, play games, skip, jump, share food and drink and generally have fun out of doors on the street where they live.

The LES Road Safety Team are also supporting two of the events with cycle proficiency sessions and Play on Pedals, a national project promoting cycling in under 5 children will also support some of the events.
