Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage provides inspiration and practical advice to help heritage organisations maximise results from their fundraising. With local training from the experts and support from peers, Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage provides everything you need to know about successful fundraising from private sources including individuals, businesses and private charitable trusts.
This one-day course, ‘Planning to Progress’, will provide you with an understanding of the significance and usefulness of a fundraising strategy and will provide you with the tools to construct an effective plan for your organisation.
You will learn the principles of a fundraising model for heritage organisations and will begin to construct a strategy for your own organisation. The training covers:
- researching and identifying sustainable sources of private income
- developing project profiles
- pitching your project
- maintaining relationships with donors, funders or sponsors
- reviewing and evaluating your strategy
The session will include the opportunity to share knowledge, experiences and learning with participants from other heritage organisations through facilitated networking sessions.
Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage is a partnership project led by Arts & Business Scotland with Archaeology Scotland, Built Environment Forum Scotland, greenspace scotland and Museums Galleries Scotland and is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
