Situated in a former school building in Ashley Street in the Woodlands area of the city, the Albany’s main role is to provide a dedicated development centre for Glasgow voluntary sector’s paid workforce of around 25,000, the almost 20,000 Board and committee members and up to 65,000 volunteers.
The Albany provides first-rate training and customised learning, tailored to meet the needs managers, staff, volunteers and board-members, and delivered by experts in the sector’s particular needs.
The Albany also functions as a welcoming, fully equipped venue for meetings, events and conferences. There are conference, training, seminar and meeting rooms, all light, airy and fully equipped, and the venue can cater for anything from an 90-strong conference to a small meeting in comfortable and sympathetic surroundings.
