February 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
First Steps to Enterprise:Trading for the Third Sector
Many third sector organisations are exploring ways to supplement their fundraising and grant funding income, with trading (selling goods or services) often being a topic of discussion. This session will give you a greater understanding of the risks and benefits of starting to generate an income through enterprise, and signpost some useful sources of support and online resources.
Content of the session will include:
– What is trading?
– Examples of charities who have started to trade
– Benefits (income, employability, awareness etc etc)
– Risks (legal, board + staff attitude/comfort, different skills etc etc)
– Support available
– Next steps
Places are limited to 2 per organisation and since demand is likely to be high, please book early. The sessions are funded by GCC Integrated Grants Fund and are open to any voluntary or community organisation in Glasgow. Priority will be given to those organisations with an annual income of less than £400,000.
Please let us know in the booking form if you have any additional support requirements and contact Karen Armstrong – email@example.com if you have any queries or require any additional information.
Please bring your Eventbrite ticket with you on the day, either printed or on a mobile device.
