All increases are from 6th April except for maternity, adoption and paternity rates which are from 5th April.
Statutory sick pay (SSP) increases from £87.55 per week to £88.45.
The maximum weeks’ pay for calculating Statutory Redundancy pay (SRP) increases from £464 to £475.
Statutory Maternity pay / Adoption pay / paternity pay increases from £138.18 to £139.58.or 90% of average weekly earnings if this figure is less
Unfair dismissal rates
If a tribunal decides an employee has been unfairly dismissed, they will get compensation which is made up of:
- a basic award. This is a fixed sum and is worked out using a standard formula
- a compensatory award. This is compensation for the money they have lost because they were dismissed, such as loss of earnings, pension and so on.
The basic award maximum increases from £13,920 to £14,250.
The compensation maximum increases from £76,574 to £78,335 (or 52 weeks’ pay, whichever is less)
