Policy-making
Are you well-informed about the issues facing
the voluntary sector?
GCVS'
Policy Team ensures that the views of Glasgow's
voluntary sector are heard in policy development processes at both local and
national levels.
GCVS listens to the
changing needs and aspirations of the voluntary sector.
Regular consultation and briefing meetings give members the opportunity to
input to emerging policy issues.
We gather intelligence from a
wide range of voluntary
sector sources. GCVS represents the sector on several
city-wide partnerships and participates in a range of policy-making forums.
GCVS reflects the diversity of views on relevant policy priorities such as:
- Community Planning
- Equalities
- Community health planning
- Community learning and development
- Wider access and housing
- Development of the social economy
- Welfare reform
