SVQ Coordinator  (Assessment)

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Grade 6 Points 31 – 34 (£26,467 – £28,828)
Term: Permanent
Location: GCVS Offices

GCVS, a dynamic and forward-thinking voluntary sector development agency that provides information, advice, training and practical, professional support to voluntary and community groups in Glasgow.

GCVS SVQ Centre offers a range of SVQ awards up to SCQF 10 to the Third Sector. We are now looking for an experienced SVQ Coordinator to coordinate the assessment practice, ensuring it is compliant with SVQ system, and support our consultant assessors and verifiers. The post holder will also manage a case load of candidates for assessment of Social Services and Health care awards working in a wide range of Voluntary sector organisations. The SVQ coordinator will also support the development and marketing of the SVQ Centre. Candidates will require to demonstrate that they are approved and can assess qualifications up to SCQF Level 10.  Candidate will be expected to demonstrate they have significant experience in assessment of qualifications and a sound knowledge of SQA requirements and hold a qualification that complies with award assessment strategies
