Third Sector Internships Scotland (TSIS) has announced that their internship programme will continue through 2014-15 thanks to further support from the Scottish Funding Council. The initiative, led by Queen Margaret University, The Open University in Scotland and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations, helps students at Scottish universities gain meaningful, paid work experience in the third sector. They look forward to working with existing and new Third Sector employers to offer high quality internships that ensure maximum benefit to students, organisations and communities. Their continued programme of work will enable further enhancement of student employability and the development of new projects and partnerships across Scotland.

TSIS are now seeking expressions of interest from third sector organisations to host a part-time internship commencing December 2014/January 2015

Benefits of hosting a TSIS intern:

  • An opportunity to have a specific piece of work/project undertaken that will add value to your organization
  • Access to a highly skilled and motivated pool of people
  • Intern salary costs, paid at the living wage rate, funded by TSIS *
  • Access to support and resources from the TSIS team before, during and after the internship

*100% salary costs are available to organisations hosting aTSIS intern for the first time. Previous TSIS intern hosts will be funded 50% for their second intern, 25% funding for their third intern.
