GCVS is delighted to be working in collaboration with the University of Glasgow to bring together the expertise of staff, students and those working in the third sector in Glasgow.

“The Collaborative” is an initiative involving Policy Scotland and Adam Smith Business School at the University, to support Glasgow’s third sector to adapt, recover and transform from COVID-19.  It aims to connect members of the University community with third sector organisations, providing free advice and expertise.

Our first workshop, running in October, will focus on Managing Risk in Collaborative Working.   As opportunities for collaborative commissioning increase, more and more organisations will need to explore what this means for them and understand the risks involved.  The workshop will focus on this, and provide practical tools for implementation and will be facilitated by Dr Paula Karlsson-Brown, Lecturer in Management.

This workshop will be particularly relevant for organisations that are already working in partnership or those considering how they do this.  We would like to hear from you, and welcome applications from multiple partners.  You can apply to attend here.

The deadline for applications is Friday 9 October at Noon.  We’ll let applicants know the outcome by Wednesday October 14.
