The Albany Learning and Conference Centre

The Albany Learning and Conference Centre is now open for business.

Situated in the former Gaelic Primary School in Glasgow's Woodlands area, the Albany's main purpose is to serve the learning and development needs of the city's voluntary and community organisations, their 14,000 paid staff and the estimated 40,000 Glaswegian volunteers.

In time the building will develop into a much-needed resource for the Woodlands community and beyond.

The Albany Centre is primarily operated by Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS), the main development agency and advocate for the city's voluntary and community sector. GCVS has acquired the property on long-term lease from Glasgow City Council.

Learning at the Albany

A number of our learning teams are now based at the Albany.

Host your event at the Albany

The Albany Learning and Conference Centre is owned and operated by GCVS to provide the support, facilities and services that the 800-plus voluntary organisations in Glasgow have told us they need.

That is why, as well as our own training and learning services, we have equipped the Albany to host your events - anything from a 100-strong conference to a small meeting in comfortable and sympathetic surroundings.

Facilities

The Centre has been designed to provide conference, training, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, and exhibition space. All spaces are light, airy and fully equipped. Furniture can be arranged to meet your needs.

We will be glad to to help you get the best out of your event at the Albany. We have a wealth of event management and marketing experience that we are happy to share.

Albany Cafe

A relaxing, pleasant space on the ground floor where you can meet other delegates and Albany habituees. Or just have a break to gather your thoughts.
